"I'm thankful we chose to learn from the best around!"

“[My wife] labored 26 hours and delivered naturally, fighting hard the whole way. Thanks [Birth Village Class] so much for all the advice and counseling you provided during the classes. They helped my wife and I IMMENSELY through the entire laboring process and birthing. You’re doing a great service, and I wish more people knew about it. Keep sharing your knowledge and wisdom. I’m thankful we chose to learn from the best around!”

"I wanted a childbirth class that helped me feel prepared."

“I absolutely loved the class. [The instructors] were incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. I wanted a childbirth class that helped me feel prepared to tackle not only delivering my baby with confidence, but everything leading up to it as well. This class did exactly that. My husband and I learned so much and feel ready to work together to bring our sweet baby into the world any day now. I highly recommend this class! It is well worth your time.”

"The most helpful result for us was the sense of empowerment--and lack of fear--that we were able to take into labor and birth."

“Our precious first baby was born last week, and on this side of her birthday, I cannot say enough good things about the preparation my husband and I got from the Birth Village classes. There were so many valuable take-aways from the classes, but the most helpful result for us was the sense of empowerment–and lack of fear–that we were able to take into labor and birth. [The instructors] prepared us for every scenario we could have encountered at the hospital, and we had the confidence and perspective to handle both the expected and unexpected of labor, birth and these first days at home. We also connected with other couples who are now part of our support system and got a great primer on breastfeeding. We feel that the Birth Village childbirth class series is an outstanding value–worth so much more than the cost. We will recommend it to every expecting couple we know in the area!”

"If it’s your first birth or not, they can help increase your comfort and confidence!"

“An awesome group that is truly a value to our community! Experienced assistance that provides you the support required to feel confident enough to take ownership of your birth experience. If it’s your first birth or not, they can help increase your comfort and confidence!”

"My partner and I had a great time, and we BOTH learned so much!"

“I truly enjoyed going to these classes every week! The experience is something I feel every new expecting mother should go to and bring a partner as well! My partner had a great time as did I and we both learned SO much! I felt very prepared and ready when the class was finished and am even considering going again if someday I have a baby #2!”

Brooke Chandler

"I loved the hands-on learning as well: practicing positions with partner, smelling things, holding hot rocks, making rice socks."

“I loved that it was broken up into segments. It helped separate all of the information we learned. It also made for a much more comfortable class experience I assume. I wouldn’t want to sit through one of those 8-hour classes. It was the perfect amount of time. I loved the hands-on learning as well: practicing positions with partner, smelling things, holding hot rocks, making rice socks etc. I’m very hands-on, so I remembered those things best.”

"When the series of classes ended I felt very prepared for addressing labor pains effectively."

“After an emergency c-section with my first baby 4 years ago, I really wanted to have a vbac with my second baby but felt I needed to learn about effective, non-medicated techniques for getting through the various stages of labor contractions. This class provided information on techniques to address labor contractions that were based on studies and personal experience from many laboring moms. What was so helpful for me was to practice many of these techniques in the class and learn about easy DIY items that can help assist with labor pains. When the series of classes ended I felt very prepared for addressing labor pains effectively.”

"It is very informative, interactive and fun."

“[The instructors] are just fantastic conducting the classes.  It is very informative, interactive and fun. The classes were very helpful, especially as we just moved here from Germany. It was also really good to ask questions about how things work out here in the hospital. We will definitely recommend the classes to everyone.”

Neda and Alexander S.

"There were no biases from the instructors. They simply gave us information and gave us a hunger to learn more."

“I wanted more information about the experience of giving birth – labor and delivery. I was given so much research based information that armed me with the ability to make informed decisions about everything I will need to know to have a safe, healthy, and (my preference) drug-free natural birth with no interventions at all. There were no biases from the instructors, they simply gave us information and gave us a hunger to learn more.”

Anna O’Reilley

"I loved the demonstrations."

“I really enjoyed the info that was given. Knowing all of my options was very important to me,  and the ladies were thorough in presenting those. I also loved the demonstrations.”
